My passion for home transformation began in a century-old farmhouse where my family spent years slowly bringing new life to a barely livable space. Growing up in that environment gave me a deep appreciation for the power of renovation and the incredible impact it can have on making a house truly feel like home.
After graduating from Appalachian State University with a focus on high school education, I began my career teaching and coaching in public schools before transitioning to work at a therapeutic boarding school for youth. This experience was followed by ministry school in California, where I further developed my calling to serve others.
My time playing and coaching basketball profoundly shaped my leadership philosophy. The lessons learned on the court about building high-achieving teams, fostering collaboration, and bringing out the best in each individual while maintaining a spirit of fun and camaraderie are principles I carry into every project today.
As a licensed general contractor, I’m proud to be an active member of the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, National Association of Remodelers Institute, National Home Builders Association, Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and North Carolina Builders Association.
Above all, my relationship with God and my family, my wife Ashley and our two daughters, Hazel and Alice, are what I treasure most. These values guide everything I do, both personally and professionally, as we work to transform houses into homes that families love to live in.
