Asheville Home embodies under selling and over delivering. Every aspect of this job was done with care and sensitivity that I didn’t know that I needed (but I in fact did need it😁). I hired Asheville Home after getting several other quotes that were all over the place. The quote I got from Asheville Home was neither the highest nor the cheapest. But Tim, the owner and the one who will bid your job, is so kind and calm. I knew that was the business I wanted to hire. Zac was our project manager. And we got to know him pretty well. At this point, if Zac ever needed anything from us, we’d do it for him. We felt like he really had our back and pretty quickly I was referring to this process as, “white glove service,” mainly because of how awesome Zac was. He managed our expectations and advocated for us with the subs. Zac went above and beyond in every facet of this bathroom remodel. He provided critical advice on some things that had nothing to do with the bathroom. We now have this gorgeous bathroom and I’m just so glad that we picked Asheville Home. I would highly suggest using them if you need a remodel!+2We couldn’t be happier with our beautiful kitchen and bathroom renovation by Asheville Home Remodel, Inc.! From the very beginning, the entire process was professional, organized, and enjoyable. A special thank you to Zac, our project manager, who kept everything running smoothly and communicated with us every step of the way. His attention to detail and commitment to quality gave us complete confidence throughout the project. Megan and Carly were outstanding designers who listened to our ideas, offered creative suggestions, and helped us create spaces that are both beautiful and functional. They were a pleasure to work with and made the design process exciting and stress-free. We were equally impressed with the entire staff and the subcontractors. Every skilled tradesperson who worked in our home demonstrated exceptional craftsmanship, professionalism, and respect for our property. It was clear that Asheville Home Remodel works with highly talented people who take pride in their work. The finished results exceeded our expectations, and we absolutely love our new kitchen and bathroom. We highly recommend Asheville Home Remodel, Inc. to anyone looking for quality workmanship, outstanding customer service, and a team that truly cares about delivering an exceptional renovation experience. Thank you to everyone at Asheville Home Remodel for making our vision a reality!+5Asheville Home recently renovated a bathroom in my 100+ year old house. The staff at AHR is superb and very professional, from the designer Morgan, who created a workable plan for a space challenged bathroom, to the gentlemen who did demolition and build, Josh and Max, to my project manager, Kevin, I have only great things to say about the work they accomplished. My project came in on budget and schedule. The ongoing communication was extremely helpful, I always knew what to expect the next day and the following week. This is my 7th major home renovation and perhaps the most pain free one I have ever experienced. We had a great experience working with Zac and other members of the team when we remodeled our kitchen and bathroom, refinished our existing hardwood floors, and replaced the windows in our house. We would not hesitate to contact them in the future for similar work. Their prices seemed to be more reasonable than other contractors we talked to, and Tim was responsive throughout the project. Everyone we met was polite and personable.Tim and his team did a wonderful job on a basement remodel for us! Starting with an unfinished basement, they designed and finished a space that makes our small house so much more functional! The added two bedrooms, a bathroom, and HVAC to our whole house. They were priced very reasonably and worked quickly. The team really listened to our needs and design preferences, while working within our budget. They made our first big home renovation project simple and we are so pleased with the result. Will definitely be calling on them for future work and would highly recommend them!+2I highly recommend! They are exceptional and honest people to work with who do EXCELLENT work! I could not be more grateful! We had a fantastic experience with Tim Magee and Asheville Home Design Build Remodel on our full bath remodel. Tim and his team were professional, dependable, and attentive to every detail from start to finish. The quality of the work was outstanding, and the finished bathroom exceeded our expectations. It was a pleasure working with a company that truly cares about craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. I would gladly recommend Asheville Home Design Build Remodel to anyone looking for a high-quality remodeling experience.I chose Asheville Home to do the renovation of my primary bathroom in my laundry room. I had four separate contractors come out and look at the job. Asheville Home was price competitive. I have loved working with Tim and his crew. Tim has been amazing to work with. The pricing was clearly laid out. And they have exceeded expectation at every level!Tim and his company have led us through three separate projects: a complete kitchen gut and remodel, a master bath gut and remodel and an entire new project of an addition of a two car garage and one bedroom apartment connected to the main house by a walkway. We had interruptions do to Hurricane Helene but it all came together. Besides always standing by his construction, Tim is a quality human being that I trust implicitly. I am not getting anything out of this post other than the satisfaction of saying my jobs always got done and my property is better for it. :-)Great team. Good communication. On time and in budget. Will use again.I do A LOT of research when making any decisions- big and small. When looking for a home remodel company I did my fair share and I ultimately decided on Asheville Home Remodel. And I can say with sincerity that this group of individuals were hands down the best I’ve ever worked with in terms of remodels and renovations. From the folks I spoke with to scheduling, to the project manager to the owner, every single person gave me so much help, solicited advice, and a sense of peace of mind with each project we did. Tim and his team are great folks who will ensure that every aspect of the job is exactly as you want it- and even better than you had planned. My husband and I have continued to use them for any and every project big and bigger, and we are never disappointed. They transformed our house into a home we love. If you are looking for folks who aren’t just doing a job as quick as they can, if you are looking for professionals who really know what they are doing, and if you are looking to make your home space more beautiful, this is the company to go with. You absolutely will not be disappointed.I’ve done several jobs now with Asheville Home Remodel and can confidently recommend them. Some of the renovations I’ve had them do meant they were in my home for extended periods of time—months at a time. You better be able to like and trust people when they’re going to be in your home for that long of a time. Not only are they just great folks, they are 100% committed to getting the job done right and to the highest standards. Any time I’ve had any issues, which will come up during renovations, they were easy to work with and ensured we got to a place where we were happy with the job and the job was done right. Any future jobs I’ll be getting done, I will 100% be going with them. Just can’t say enough good things about my entire time working with them and how satisfied I’ve been AFTER the work is done.Tim and his team completed a self contained mother-in-law above garage apartment for us and we couldn’t be happier. The project had a lot of complicated constraints related to space, head height, stairs, and septic, but they were able to get everything built to code requirements. I had other builders tell me the project was impossible. Tim took the time to really understand what we were trying to accomplish, and that gave me a lot of confidence they could execute the work. Highly recommend for extensive remodel work.We don't have enough words to express how thankful we are with this company, specially with Dustin. After the hurricaine we were left with a mess, and the Insurance company was not helping us. Asheville Homes helped us navigate the process, and we were able to get fair compensation from the insurance company.Had a great experience doing a partial renovation of our Asheville house with Asheville Home. We had to do most of the renovations while we were remote, but were very happy with how things turned out! Would definitely use them again in the future for renovations!+3Asheville Home transformed my grandparents’ 1970’s ranch into a beautiful modern cottage, and we are truly thrilled with the results. This was a full gut renovation down to the studs and a complete rebuild, so it was a complex project with plenty of moving parts. Throughout the process, the team at Asheville Home handled every challenge with care, clear communication, and excellent customer service. The craftsmanship is exceptional, with thoughtful attention to detail in every space. Even after completion, they were happy to return for a few very minor adjustments and handled them promptly and thoroughly. The end result exceeded our expectations, and we would wholeheartedly recommend Asheville Home to anyone planning a major renovation.Fantastic group of people who are reliable and do great work at a reasonable price in today’s market. Would recommend them to anyone!Tim and Morgan were outstanding. From the initial contact to the site walk through, we've had great customer service. We appreciate them following through with us and meeting our expectations. We would definitely recommend them for home improvement projects. We have serviced Asheville and the surrounding areas for 37 years. Specializing in Residential and commercial design. I highly recommend Tim McGee , and his crew at Asheville home. We have tackled many challenging hurdles during the building and remodeling process, but Tim was there every step of the way. His patience with the homeowners is exceptional. Also, working with the designer and her team. Tim goes the extra mile to make sure every homeowner stays in the loop through the entire process. His exceptional work speaks for itself.I used Asheville Home for three different projects and found them to be simply excellent. Each project was carefully managed by the project manager and executed impeccably by the contractors who worked on the projects. They managed the entire process, from working with me on selecting materials to getting the job done. I didn’t have to worry about anything. Additionally, Asheville Home stands by their work. If any issue is uncovered after the project is completed they will work quickly to resolve it. I simply can’t recommend Asheville Home highly enough. Two employees of Asheville Home-Design Build Remodel, Josh and Max came ready to rescue us from the runoff water that was flooding our house. With the use of a Kubota they dug trenches, installed a French drain and stainless steal trench to redirect and protect us from water during heavy rains. They also cut and moved the last of fallen trees from Helene!! They were kind and personable all through their time working here and I’m so very thankful for their diligence!!Asheville Homes hit it out of the park. Everyone from Zack, Tim, Dustin, Carley, Morgan and all the guys that helped remodel our home and built us exactly what we wanted. We started work right after one of most horrible storms this area has ever scene and the team suited up and showed up despite all the difficulties that everyone was going through. The line of communication was always open. There were no surprises, everything was talked about prior to working and they always had a solution to any problem. When I purchase another home, there is no question I will be using Asheville Homes to do the work.+6We had a wonderful experience working with Asheville Home Remodel. They helped us completely transform our home—more than doubling the size of the house—and also completed work on our rental property. Tim, Tom, and the entire team are incredibly sweet, professional, responsive, and efficient. Communication was always clear, questions were answered quickly, and they were genuinely helpful every step of the way. Even after the project wrapped, they’ve continued to offer ongoing support, referrals, and guidance whenever we’ve needed help. It’s rare to find a team this reliable and easy to work with. We truly felt supported throughout the entire process and would highly recommend Asheville Home to anyone considering a remodel or renovation.+6Asheville Home will always be my top recommendation for anyone going through a remodel. After being displaced by the hurricane for 11 months, the process was long and exhausting, but Asheville Home was outstanding from start to finish. They stepped in, took on a major project, and rebuilt over half of our home from the ground up. The quality of the work exceeded our expectations, and our home is honestly better than it was before. Throughout the entire process, they were flexible, communicative, and genuinely cared about us as people—not just a project. Even when there were delays on the back end with funding well after the work was completed, Asheville Home handled everything with professionalism and grace, working with us patiently and without pressure. I can’t say enough good things about Dustin, Andrew, Tim, and the rest of the team. Even the subcontractors they worked with were fantastic. We are incredibly grateful for Asheville Home and the way they helped us rebuild.Asheville Home did a fantastic job repairing oir home after the hurricane. The home was a total loss, but they were able to rebuild it and even make it better than it was. They were very respectful of our style and desires as we went through the design and rebuilding process. 100% recommend them for your home remodeling or construction needs.Asheville Home has caring, trusted, and skilled professionals who have been instrumental in helping my parents repair their home and make it safer as they age. The owner was raised here and has deep connections, grounding, and a strong work ethic--and this company is not out to gouge you. They are fair and caringI recommend them highly! As an architect I have worked with many contractors in the area. Asheville Home remains at the top of our list as one of our most recommended residential remodelers. We will also send smaller projects their way when we realize they aren't a good fit for our firm. Their design services are perfect for the smaller and interior remodel projects. This was my first time remodeling a home. The experience with Heart to Home has been exceptional! From the initial bid.. to the design consultation.. to the onsite general management..and completion. I was out of state during most of the work and they provided weekly reports and pictures. They were always available for questions and would double check key decisions to ensure accuracy. We love the end product! Highly recommend!!We talked to several contractors before settling here. From the planning to the last brush stroke of paint, Asheville home was professional and readily available for anything that needed addressed. B hands down the best experience I’ve ever had with home renovations!Asheville Home and Remodel did a fantastic job remodeling my grandparents’ house. They were able to modernize the home while still keeping the vintage look and feel of when it was first built, which was very important to us. Tim and his team were incredibly knowledgeable and helpful with every decision along the way. They always looked out for our best interest, working to get us the best deals from their vendors—or even our own preferred vendors when possible. I highly recommend Tim and Asheville Home and Remodel to anyone looking for quality craftsmanship, attention to detail, and a company that truly cares about their clients.Working with Tim and Asheville Home and Remodel was not just a good experience—it was a great one from start to finish! This was our very first remodel, and with an older home and a set budget, we knew there were risks and plenty of unknowns. That could have been scary, but Tim and his team made the process so much easier. They took the time to listen to everything that was important to us, and whenever something came up that was questionable, they walked us through our options with honesty and patience. Their experience showed in the quality of the work, but just as important was their excellent communication. We always knew what was happening, when it was happening, and how much it would cost. If something was going to push us over budget, they made sure we understood it fully and gave us the choice to say yes or no. We couldn’t be happier with the results, and we highly recommend Asheville Home and Remodel to anyone considering a project. They are professional, trustworthy, and truly wonderful to work with!+5Asheville Home Remodel completed a major kitchen remodel at our residence. This was a complex project including structural design and installation. Tim and his group stayed on top of every facet of our job, while maintaining sensitivity to our timeline and budget. We highly recommend Asheville Home Remodel and would engage them for future projects.+4Asheville Home Remodel did a large renovation of our historic home in Montford to include a full kitchen with creation of walk-in laundry room and pantry, 3 bathrooms and some new flooring. Overall, the team did a great job, stayed on budget and stayed very close to their original anticipated timeline. I think this was one of their first historic home renovations and I think there was a little bit of a learning curve regarding some of the nuances that come with a project like this, but they figured it out along the way. I bet they are now well-prepared to tackle additional historic home renovations in the future with increasing ease. As with all renovations, especially in historic homes, there were some hiccups along the way but the very best thing about this team is their ability to own up to their mistakes and make it right without ANY pushback. After hearing other peoples renovations stories, I think this is a really unique trait of the Asheville Home Remodel team. My only reservations really lie with the subcontractors for wood flooring and tile. Both of these teams had to be called back a few times to fix mistakes after we had moved back in and the renovation was complete - this was disruptive and disappointing for us to have to deal with. However, Zac worked hard to plan the work to minimize the impact on us and made sure we were happy with the results. As a client, we had very high expectations for quality and really honed in on the details. The team did require some supervision to achieve the finished product that we envisioned but by the end of the project everything on our punch list was addressed without any pushback. Tim, Zac and Kevin were always very responsive. Marco, Hedi, Tom and Josiah have excellent carpentry skills. Now that I have lived through a big renovation, I really notice the quality of the craftsmanship in other homes and I think our home looks fantastic, down to the smallest details. The design of our “hidden pantry”, custom range hood and wainscoting in the powder bath exceeded our expectations. I also could not speak more highly of their customer service. This was the absolute best thing about working with this team. We would use them again due to the quality of the work and the responsiveness of the team.Asheville home executed an amazing full basement remodel into a separate apartment. The whole process was very professional and timely. Couldn’t be happier! We’ve hired AH for two different projects. 1st was a complete kitchen remodel. We were so impressed we brought them back for an exterior remodel. Great job on both.I have used this company for 7 years for multiple Remodeling projects in my nearly 100 year old home. They are excellent to work with, honest, trustworthy, and timely. I’ve done entire kitchens and bedrooms, bathrooms, outdoor spaces like porches, and even a car port. The price is very reasonable and they keep you updated on progress. They are responsive to any issues and will work to make things right. Most importantly, Tim and his crew are good humans who work hard and deliver a great product.I had the great pleasure of working with Asheville home remodel co. We had a huge transformation from an old outdated ranch to a chic country home. Asheville contractors and the owner Tim McGee made my dream a reality. They had fantastic and creative tradesmen. They were really easy to work with always keeping me on budget. We left the keys with them in October and didn’t return until spring and everything was completed beyond my expectations. They sent weekly updates and kept us in the loop at all times. No hiccups along the way. We are beyond thrilled with our newly remodeled home.Just wanted to give a shout out to Zach as a project manager for this company, he is awesome to work with as each member of their team we encountered. I've had a lot of contractors that were never available to answer questions during a project (before or after) and these folks are there, fully available all the time it seems and even track you down to just give you updates throughout the build/remodel process. We took a big gamble with how much our project cost, but they did a fantastic job and everyone a client works with in their company is generally just great. Couldn't be happier and can't say enough good things. Best Remodel/Builder in WNC hands down. Thanks Guys! This review is long overdue. We moved back into our house in mid April following repairs to damage from Helene. Two trees hit our house during that storm. One, a large oak, ripped through our roof, from the back of the house to the front. I happened to be sitting where it fell. If not for the integrity of the walls, I wouldn't be writing this. My wife and I fumbled around for a few days afterward, not sure who to call or what to do. Acting on a few recommendations, I began a chain of emails that eventually led me to Tim at what was then, Heart to Home (now Asheville Home). We feel extremely lucky to have landed on the group at Asheville Home. After my first meeting with Tim, I felt so much more at ease with our situation, probably for the first time following the storm. Between the structural and water damage over half of the house needed to be demo'd down to the studs and sub floor. Not to mention needing a new roof. The whole team working on our project, Tim, Zane, Dusty and Morgan made everything run so smoothly, that neither my wife nor I ever felt any anxiety that couldn't be quickly abated with a single phone call to any one of them. Dusty was so skilled and experienced with all things related to insurance that we hardly had to directly communicate with our insurance company through it all. He really made that whole part of the process so much less stressful. Morgan, their in house interior designer, helped us navigate all the design choices (fixtures, cabinets, counter tops, paint colors, etc.) to pick out the most cost effective finishes that would give us the end product we were hoping for. Project manager Zane, along with Tim, kept everything moving during a time in Asheville when subcontractors all had their plates full of work. And Zane always let me know that they were there for us and to make sure we were happy. If there's always a silver lining, then for us it was Asheville Home and the repairs and refinishing they did for us and the resulting updates to our house, albeit as a result of hurricane loss. We feel very fortunate to have found them and would happily recommend them for any home project!+5I had a great experience with this company. I had two bathrooms remodeled in a 1915 home. Good price and quality work. I was very pleased with the final product. Every person I encountered was personable and competent. Five Stars
