You do not have to go through design however we strongly recommend it. Every remodeling project has design questions that come up dealing with framing, layouts, lighting, and electrical, tile, trim, or cabinetry details or any other type of custom built-in details. These are often necessary to have design work done to ensure that the finished product is the desired outcome as well as clarity for the construction department to know what to build. Remodeling often has unknowns that come up and the more design prep work that is done the higher likelihood of ensuring a smooth and successful outcome!

There are many factors into deciding our job scheduling, but typically we are 8 – 12 weeks out depending on the type of project and necessary planning.
Although every project is different, we typically see project development and design stage lasting 1 to 3 months, and projects lasting anywhere from 2 to 6 months on average. Kitchens start around 8 to 12 weeks while bathrooms can be done closer to 6 to 8 weeks. Basements typically take 8 to 10 weeks. Whole house remodels could take anywhere from 3 to 6 months on average and additions usually start at three months but larger more complicated additions can be six months or longer.
Our process is done in phases from the initial call, project development, construction, to handoff/completion. Check out our Process page for a further breakdown of each phase!
Based on our industry experience, kitchens and bathroom renovations typically deliver the highest return on investment for homeowners. Additionally, screen porches and decks can be valuable additions that enhance your home's worth and livability.

We always review during our preconstruction meeting that dust is inevitable with a remodel. However, we do try to use HEPA filters, ventilation, as well as paper and plastic in areas that are not being disturbed. We often do site cleanup at various stages of the project to try to lower the amount of dust accumulation. When necessary, we will also utilize an HVAC duck cleaning trade partner to come back behind us and do a thorough cleaning of the ductwork once construction is complete.
Our pricing depends on the area of renovation and the level of finishes selected.
The most common ways we see customers paying is from their savings, home equity line, refinance on their house, local Banks, home improvement loans, or we can refer you to a couple lenders that specialize in remodeling and home improvement loans.
Our process starts with engaging in a discovery consultation, where we discuss typical cost ranges of projects that are similar size and scope to make sure customers have an idea of the rough ballpark cost of the project. After that, we will come out to the home and do a site assessment with the client to better assess the full scope of the project and give an updated rough price range. This is all done at no cost. If the customer is still feeling good about moving forward, we will then engage in our project development phase. This phase combines design estimating and scope work to complete a full thorough fixed cost proposal. The project development phase does have a cost associated with it as we find it is the only way to truly accurately develop the project scope and price. Our philosophy is to do as much work upfront so that there are few surprises after a project contract has been agreed-upon.
Our company highly values communication with the customer as well within our team. We have designated trained leaders in each position from administrative, project development, estimating, design, financier, project management, and overall production operations. We often hear back from customers that they are surprised and happy how quickly someone gets back to them, and there was always someone available on the team to help.
Depending on the scope of the project, sometimes moving out of the home temporarily is the best option. However, other times staying is not a problem at all.
As a team, we have completed hundreds of remodeling projects from start to finish. We are proud to say that we have maintained a high level of customer satisfaction, which can be seen by our reviews. Our team has three different licensed contractors on staff as well as several staff members who have completed degrees in design or construction management. On average, our employees have 20 to 25 years of experience and some have even up to 50 years of experience in construction! We have a great mix of seasoned employees as well as young working professionals that bring new life and new ideas to the mix. If we combine all of the 15+ employees experience. It would be well over 75 years!
